You play as some emo with spiky hair (redundant?) who just moved to a new town and is immediately caught up in its weird, paranormal activity. I think it’s usually past rank 5/6, though it changes for each girl i think. The intro and any of the songs with lotus juice rapping are fire, what soundtrack are talking about exactly??? Sure, but the real-world setting does a lot to make the game feel grounded, despite the story’s more fantastical elements.
On your first play through of the game i felt terrified of what was to come so i felt i actually needed that extra training to make myself anywhere near the bosses level. Fuse when you can, and always register personae in the compendium. After that, you will have wait for the next 30 days to see another plot progression and within that 30 days, expect nothing but shallow progression of the story. It’s strong and solid. It’s especially helpful when you can’t use a strong attack against all of your opponents to do an all-out attack.
Archives of awesomeness
Seriously i’ve known a lot of people in high school and not one of them were nearly as big of a loser as any of these characters who we’re supposed to ‘relate to’ in persona 3. Swimsuit contests and crossdressing? a fucking bear? the glasses gimmick? everyone dealing with their ~inner feelings~? it was too upbeat for smt and my tastes.
It gets worse, too. I don’t necessarily agree with the article fully, but i do agree that tartarus and grinding just plain suck. And i couldn’t find anything.
Battle system sucks
It would be like real life. That’s all there is to it.
Once everyone is bloody and battered the plot moves on and everyone discovers why your character was supposed to die, the ending is something like everyone learns to cope with your death and everyone moves on and lives a happy life. Fuuka with the group. You are old dude. Yeah, i’m playing it on my fancy vita. One will have agi skills and the other will use bufu skills, so you need change persona every time the boss changes phase).
Frequently asked questions
Ended up losing my mind before games end (watched ending(s) on youtube, which was good, but still melted game with a lighter), but rather than hating jrpg’s, i ended up hating “the internet” (you) for lying to me and i still do to this day. Persona 3 is an awesome story, something you don’t see in gaming much today.
Running in circles
Why? because yes and because i concluded you are a little impatient and stupid. And at least for me, all of these games feel like on rails. Can’t tell if it is sarcasm but in the game if you reach lvl 99 your stats boost like that. Because we aren’t discussing of it as a game of general mean, we’re specifically talking about jrpg here.
